A sci-fi MMO you play in your web browser. A massive multi-empire, multi-universe sandbox where thousands of commanders trade, fight, and build corporations across procedurally structured galaxies. Every decision matters. Every sector tells a story.
Trade • Fight • Conquer • BuildKron Wars is not a single-world game. This sci-fi MMO runs entirely in your web browser — no download, no install. The galaxy is structured as a hierarchy of empires and universes, each with its own unique topology, economy, and power dynamics. Players can move between universes, discovering new trade routes, alliances, and dangers across an ever-expanding frontier.
Each universe is an independent simulation with its own sector count — from compact 100-sector arenas for fast-paced action to sprawling 25,000-sector galaxies where exploration and strategy dominate. The administrator can fine-tune every universe: the ratio of safe to dangerous sectors, the presence of special stations, and the economic parameters that drive trade.
Every universe has a ShadowDock — the universal safe haven and spawn point for all commanders. No matter how dangerous the surrounding space, ShadowDock is always there. It's where you begin, where you regroup, and where you plan your next move.
Not every universe has a StarDock. When present, it serves as the premium commercial hub — advanced trading facilities, corporation headquarters, and high-end ship upgrades. Universes without a StarDock force commanders to rely on port-to-port trading and player-built infrastructure.
Every sector in the universe is assigned a security level from 0 to 5. This number defines the rules of engagement, the presence of police patrols, and the risk-reward balance. The galaxy administrator controls the ratio of safe to dangerous sectors, creating unique gameplay dynamics in every universe.
In sectors with security level 0, 1, or 2, there are no police patrols and no combat restrictions. Any commander can attack any other commander at any time, regardless of corporation affiliation. Pirates thrive here. Bounty hunters prowl these corridors. The rewards are high — rare resources, uncontested mining, hidden caches — but so is the risk. Travel armed, or don't travel at all.
In sectors with security level 3, 4, or 5, police patrols actively enforce order. PvP combat is strictly prohibited unless two corporations are officially at war. Unprovoked attacks trigger immediate police response — your ship will be engaged, your goods seized, and your reputation destroyed. Safe space is where commerce flourishes, new commanders learn the ropes, and trade empires are built.
Corporations are the backbone of Kron Wars. They are player-run organizations with their own governance, resources, and territory. A corporation can be a peaceful trading guild, a ruthless pirate fleet, or a military alliance — the choice is yours.
Corporations have a structured hierarchy: CEO, directors, and members. The CEO sets policy, manages treasury, and decides when to go to war. Directors manage divisions and coordinate operations. Every member contributes to the corporation's growth and power.
When diplomacy fails, corporations can formally declare war. Once at war, all combat restrictions in patrolled space are lifted between the warring factions. In war zones, everything is fair game — ambushes in high-security corridors, blockades on trade routes, and full-scale fleet battles.
The PvP system is tied directly to security levels and corporation status. In lawless space (0-2): free-for-all, no restrictions. In patrolled space (3-5): PvP only between corporations at war. Attack an innocent in safe space? The police will make you regret it.
The economy of Kron Wars is entirely player-driven. Prices fluctuate based on real supply and demand. Every trade you make, every resource you mine, every cargo you haul — it all ripples through the galactic economy. KRON is the universal currency, and those who master the flow of goods become the true power brokers of the frontier.
Trading ports are scattered across the universe, each buying and selling different commodities. Buy low in one sector, sell high in another — classic arbitrage across the stars. Prices are dynamic: flood a port with goods and the price drops; deplete its stock and prices soar. The best trade routes are the ones you discover yourself.
Asteroid fields and resource-rich sectors offer raw materials for the taking. Mine ore, refine it, and sell on the open market — or use it to build and upgrade your fleet. The richest deposits are often in low-security space, forcing miners to choose between safety and profit.
KRON is the lifeblood of the frontier economy. Earned through trading, mining, missions, and bounties. Spent on ships, equipment, port upgrades, and corporation investments. The economy is designed with anti-inflation mechanics — every KRON entering circulation has a corresponding sink. No hyperinflation. No worthless currency.
Beyond NPC ports, players can trade directly with each other. Set up your own trade deals, negotiate bulk shipments, or corner the market on a rare commodity. The invisible hand is yours. Build a trade empire, or become the pirate who disrupts everyone else's.
Why buy when you can build? Players can produce their own ships, from lightweight scouts to armored freighters. Gather the raw materials, secure a production facility, and roll your own fleet off the assembly line. Every ship built is a ship that didn't come from an NPC vendor — it came from your supply chain.
Commanders can own and operate trading ports, setting prices, managing inventory, and profiting from every transaction that flows through their docks. A well-placed player port on a busy trade route becomes a passive income machine — and a target worth defending.
Colonized planets are more than just flags on a map. They are industrial powerhouses — producing goods, refining materials, and fueling the galactic supply chain. Invest in your planet's infrastructure and watch it become the backbone of your economic empire.
The ultimate expression of power. The Spire Citadel is a massive orbital fortress — part defense platform, part strategic asset. Building one requires enormous resources and coordination, but once operational, it projects area control across surrounding sectors. A corp with a Spire doesn't just occupy space — it owns it.
