Four hundred and twenty metres of Aetherion capital hull, ten guns and ten defensive mounts, a hundred Legendary fighters in the bays — and a top speed of thirty-five. The Archon is not built to catch anything. It is built so that nothing needs catching: whatever it is pointed at stays where it is until the matter is settled.
The part that costs the real money is bolted deeper in. An Universe Jump Drive, one of the few ever fitted, alongside a Singularity Warp Core — this ship does not merely cross a frontier, it leaves one. Add fifteen colonial outposts and eight starports in the holds and the Archon stops being a warship. It is a claim, travelling.
